Virus defs not updating

As you can see they released 20170408.002 on 4-0408.004 on 4-10. They would not release each update but would test them and eventually pick the one to release. That site showed each update and what it fixed and at the top it would show the release version. It is the same for all Norton Products not only N360 and it is the same on the US site too.------------ 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 * Firefox ESR v52.0.2 * NIS v22.9.1.12 * MBAM Premium v2.2.1 Hello Has anyone noticed in Community Watch history that there is a liveupdate.which is a real Norton server, but it's reported as an offending url since it seems to be pointing to my It stops sometimes and that stoppage is tied to the changing of IPS drivers. I brought this up because of the connection to IPS and what Imacri stated.was downgraded today from 16.1.0.253 to 16.0.0.1712; my IPS engine was also downgraded today from 8.0.0.514 to 8.0.0.512.It would be helpful if someone from Symantec would just post in this thread and let us know why the IPS driver and engine were rolled back to earlier versions, and if this should have restarted the delivery of new IPS definitions during Live Updates.I still haven't received the latest v20170417.001 IPS definition set that was just added to the Virus Definitions & Security Updates release history so I have no idea if this rollback has fixed any of my IPS-related issues.I had also the problem of Virus Defs folder (in the Definitions folder) months back, this is not solved till now.

As you can see they released 20170408.002 on 4-0408.004 on 4-10. what I am mentioning is happening even in a brand new machine with new Norton Security installation. I had raised this same problem about many month back when the SDSDefs system was started. See also https://community.norton.com/en/comment/7134391. IPSDefs come almost everyday except on Weekends and Holidays.By default VIPRE will automatically check for updated definitions every 30 minutes. This is contingent on the computer being powered on and connected to the internet.By default, Avast Antivirus is set to update the Virus definitions and Program automatically whenever a new version is available.

We strongly recommend you keep automatic updates enabled.

Hi Mehul Patel: I can confirm that 20170408.004 was the last IPS Definition set delivered to my system until 20170414.001 was delivered today.
